Croda Introduces New Styling Agent

Croda, Inc. introduced Mirustyle MFP, a multifunctional quaternary styling agent based on hydrolyzed maize starch. The 20% active styling aid provides excellent hold compared to traditional styling polymers, reduces frizz and static flyaways and makes hair more manageable without giving it a tacky feel, according to company executives. It is suitable for most aqueous and hydroalcoholic (up to 50% alcohol) styling aids, especially those designed for permed or naturally curly hair.
The product can also be used in rinse-off systems such as shampoos and conditioners to provide film-
